Deuteronomy 32:18-20
New Revised Standard Version Updated Edition

18 You were unmindful of the Rock that bore you;[a]
    you forgot the God who gave you birth.(A)

19 The Lord saw it and was jealous;[b]
    he spurned[c] his sons and daughters.(B)
20 He said, ‘I will hide my face from them;
    I will see what their end will be,
for they are a perverse generation,
    children in whom there is no faithfulness.(C)
